Although the movie is musical to the core and the star in it is impressive with his dance moves, Imtiaz Ali, the director of ‘Rockstar’, has different views on the dancing part….

The filmmaker says that Ranbir Kapoor’s character in ‘Rockstar’ is inspired by Jim Morrison. So if at all the actor will dance then, Imtiaz believes it wouldn’t look good.

According to sources, the director feels that no rockstar has ever danced and it will look very weird and not in character. Therefore he said to have strictly said no to dance moves.

Imtiaz wants Ranbir to get under the skin of the character and not merely behave like one by only playing the guitar, sources added. So for the character preparation, the director had given Ranbir few videos of rockstars from the past, so that he could cultivate their style and habits.

Besides, it was mentioned that the actor was learning guitar to play the part of a crooner.
